Design Intern

A paid full-time internship position to contribute to the development of the Opera Browser for Android by assisting with product interface design, user research, and collaboration with developers.
Main requirements:
- Relevant education or job experience in graphic design including composition, grids, typography, and color theory
- Knowledge of human-centered design principles
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma
- Ability to define user interface structure and navigation
- Ability to model screen layouts and create interactive prototypes
- Understanding of platform guidelines and UI patterns
- Knowledge of methods to understand users and evaluate design solutions
Responsibilities:
- Help other designers deliver mockups, user flows, and prototypes using tools like Figma
- Participate in user research projects such as interviews, usability tests, and surveys
- Work closely with developers by handing off designs and providing specifications
- Prepare graphics for presentations and marketing materials
- Focus on product interface design and promotional materials for upcoming launches
- Use and help maintain the design system
- Understand business goals and suggest solutions to help Opera grow
- Validate hypotheses by tracking analytics and gathering user feedback
- Ensure quality of design throughout the entire product development process from mockups to launch
