A postdoctoral position at the Department of Information Technology, Uppsala University, focused on developing and evaluating methods for detection and quantification in neuroradiology to facilitate advanced image processing techniques for treatment monitoring.
Main requirements:
- PhD degree in Medical Image Processing or equivalent foreign degree completed by the time of employment decision.
- PhD obtained within the last three years, exceptions possible for special reasons such as illness, parental leave, or union duties.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate detection and quantification methods in neuroradiology imaging.
- Make advanced image processing methods accessible for treatment follow-up in neuroradiology.
- Conduct research within the specified project.
Required hard skills:
- PhD in medical image processing or equivalent.
- Experience or knowledge in image processing techniques.
- Ability to conduct independent research in medical imaging.
Recommended hard skills:
- Experience in neuroimaging (brain imaging) research and method development.
Soft skills:
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary international team.
- Strong scientific communication skills.
