System Engineer – Operations and Maintenance within TETRA

This role involves ensuring stable and reliable communication in a critical societal service by working with the operations and maintenance of TETRA-related equipment within the national Rakel radio communication system. The position focuses on quality and security in operations critical for public order, safety, health, and total defense.
Main requirements:
  • At least three years of upper secondary education or equivalent in technology.
  • Experience with transmission technology, radio networks, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with IP networks, firewalls, and routing.
  • Experience working independently in the field with high demands on quality and documentation.
  • Valid B driving license.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good verbal and written skills in Swedish and English.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and install technical equipment independently and in teams.
  • Perform complex fault analysis and resolve various levels of network issues to ensure high system availability.
  • Ensure functionality and availability of Radio, Transmission, and IT equipment.
  • Implement performance improvements and upgrades of systems, both hardware and software.
  • Create documentation and technical reports.
  • Maintain close contact with customers and other technical teams.
